I graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1984. Since that time I have become accomplished and respected in this field. I am a member of, and have various awards from The Metal Arts Guild of Nova Scotia and The Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council.
My work is continually evolving, reflecting at times my background as a surveyor, my fascination with nature or the oddities I find scattered across my bench. I use various techniques such as fusing, hollow construction, and reticulation. I try and fabricate what is balanced and compositionally pleasing to the eye.
Simplicity of design and definition are a top priority in achieving this.
It is the decidedly unorchestrated journey, from initial inspiration to finished piece, which holds me to what I do.
