Artist's Statement

I graduated from the Ontario College of Art thinking that I would enter the world of Toronto advertising agencies and be creatively fulfilled. As I soon learned, I was wrong. The burgeoning entertainment industry would be the next to be conquered. That proved to be challenging, rewarding and for the most part, fun. I worked for many years as a graphic designer/illustrator for numerous television stations, t.v. series and feature films producing everything from props to signage to book and record covers to on-air graphics and to, yes, ads.
   I can recall being somewhat intrigued by the stained glass windows in my church as a youth, but I did not pursue that curiosity any further at the time. I was content to continue drawing and painting until...about fifteen years ago. I took three one-hour lessons and was hooked. I have been designing and producing, solely and happily, custom-made stained glass art for homes and businesses ever since.
