ARTIST'S STATEMENT

JAMIE JARDINE

Jamie graduated from Fanshawe College (Fine Art) in 2000 and began to exhibit in London Ontario. For the next 17 years he would continue to paint and travel. He has painted in Cuba, Italy, England, France and all over Canada including the Canadian arctic. “My love for the Canadian landscape is evident in my body of work and in the urges I have to return to the wilderness. My influences are varied but my work may be most visibly associated with the "Canadian School". I enjoy works by J. W. Morrice, Tom Thomson, Charles Comfort, J.W. Beatty and Maurice Cullen”.
